Throughout I had fleeting recalls of incidents in this story; somewhere along the line my mental directory was seriously corrupted and, like Margaret, I've lost much of my past. This reread was a treat. Thank-you. Sometimes even my suspension of disbelief was challenged, but fiction is fiction. My enjoyment of your story is not. 5+fave.

A really well written story, even without the sex, In fact, the excessive attention to the sex scenes were a distraction. How about a re-write with toned down sex and submission to a legitimate publishing company that specializes in short stories or a women's magazine?

The original concept had this main issue hidden for a time until you delved & explored deeper feelings & emotions.

This. Is. Brilliant.

Instead of your usual highly improbable taboo themes, this relationship was far more grounded in something other than filial love.

And, as an Irish American living in a large city with LOTS of Irish immigrants, and as someone who’s traced his Irish roots in Éireann several times - I’ve found nothing “off” about Sinead’s dialect. I am not familiar with the Cork dialect, however, as much people came from County Clare and Dublin.

That was an amazing story, so well done from beginning to end.

I think I'm in love with Sinead now....

This is unquestionably one of your best stories, and I have read almost all of the ones you have posted. Its hard to imagine a sequel to this one, but please do keep writing.

This my friend was a QUALITY tale, a true story not sex-centric, well above and beyond most I've read here, and quite possibly the best of your catalog ( of which I have read many)

I personally enjoy when there's all the elements of a non sib relationship, when they stay together and persevere for what they have discovered is most important to them regardless of what trials they face together

Being ¾ Irish and ¼ Scot, I really enjoyed the story, just the right amount of humor, drama and love. I'd like to see a sequel to this story a few years in the future.
