Having read this story first on storiesonline.net when you posted it a few days ago I couldn't wait for it to be posted here so I could comment.

Another great one Longhorn. Talk about serious overreacting and obsession. Seriously, everyone but her understood it was minor mistake. The husband, Ann, and her husband as well. Damn shame.

That was an amazingly original and well told story. An original premise, well drawn characters, and an ending that fit; that story had it all.

The funny thing is that the husband did not even initiate it. He actually was the victim. So if anyone needed to be taken revenge against, it should have been Ann. Unfortunately the wife was obsessively stupid just like her mom. Her mom was so crazy she did not even get it even after her daughter did.

A very well told story. I did not like the fart part. I would have preferred a burp, a spit, a cough, a sneeze, blowing the nose, the profile of his butt, the color of his shirt, whatever. It is crazy that his marriage was so weak it got blown away by a fart.

I had already praised Longhorn on this story on another site, but here I will publicly decare it an ACE!!

Total Obsession and my 3rd most hated theme, revenge sex,(The other two being cuckoldry and racial stereotypes) done great and showing how it is BAAAAD!

The part taht gets me, and makes the wife TOTALLY unredeamable is on page 7 of this master work, let me quote the passages

"Suddenly Peggy knew this wasn't going to be the last time for her. She examined the idea for a moment. Kyle would never know--she'd see to that--and if he didn't know, it wouldn't hurt him. How could it? She thought about it for a while longer.

She'd be very, very careful. She would never make intricate plans to get together with a man. It would always have to be someone like Randy...someone she met by accident out and away from home. Yeah, that was the way to go--random encounters--at places where Kyle would never, ever be. He never suspect anything either, because he'd never see any signs of cheating that would give her away. She'd never have a long-term affair, she decided. They were too entangling, too complicated, and she didn't need to be involved with another man. Kyle was plenty, more than enough."

So after getting revenge and INTEREST on it she plans on cuckolding him permanetly, BECOUSE SHE CAN!

Can she be redeamed? Nope. She knows what she did now. But it will not give him back his marrage.

this story could also be a "what if" to rpsuch's "Clark Kent or Superman". The wife was going to have her way reguardless of the cost to her, her husband, her children, and family.

After reading the other comments, I can think of no new way to say it. So... intrepid competitor that I am, I pried my fingers away from my mouse and peeled my body from the leather of my chair. After an hour of searching through cardboard boxes of old text books in storage, 'Eureka'. My old tattered copy by that lifesaver, Roget. Several hours later, the book falls to the floor after hitting the wall. I give up....all I can do is repeat...

However...I do have one complaint...The comment section is one of my guilty pleasures. I love to laugh and curse at the different comments. I agree with the "epilog" comments - Peggy has incredible will power, and if she could get some help and then channel her will power constructively instead of destructively, things could get interesting. Or, she could be pregnant from her tryst with numb nuts, which would also be interesting. However, having experienced a very similar situation IRL, she'll probably start drinking pretty heavily and continue to slide downward.

Thank goodness for a character like Roger who has the strength of will to say "no thank you."

Has anyone considered Kyle's part in all of the heartach in this story? The incident with Ann was no big deal until Kyle told his wife about it. At first only Ann and Kyle knew what happened and that is the way it should have remained. Kyle knew that Peggy was going to have a problem dealing with the incident but he went ahead and told her anyway. This is a case in point of where honesty is NOT ALWAYS the best policy.

That said, this was a very well written story and an enjoyable read with a sad ending. It cost me time away from what I should have been doing so that I could finish reading it today. Now we will all have to wait to see if Longhorn__07 can top this story with his next offering.

You did it -- got to the rotten core of feminism, dealt with unforgivness --- if you don't forgive, you can't be forgiven; dealt with harsh realities.

I've been trying to come up with something original to say, but I'm speechless (writerless?) The only thing I can come up with is "thank you." Thank goodness you are just starting - thank goodness there will be more stuff coming from Longhorn, and thank you for the lesson in writing.

There was absolutely NO reason to tell Peggy because nothing happened deliberately. Sometimes social mistatements or ommissions are necessary to keep human interaction on an even keel.

Once again, realism wouldn't make for a very good story.

not that Kyle does not share the blame for the whole sad ending, but that he should not have told the wife about the accident/incident with Ann.

he and Anne did the right thing by telling their respective spouses what happened and that it was truly an inadvertent incident, of little significance sexually or another wise; plus the remorse and embarrassment. some people believe in TOTAL honesty,,, Kyle and Anne are two of those people,,,

it is how he handles his wife's "obsession" that is too surreal, too childish: "oh, guess what, I lied, honey: I'm gonna try to save you one more, or should I say, one LAST, time (this was some 15 or so months after the incident)."

first of all, the wife's too stupid/influenced by her mother, Denise, to be her own person, until the VERY END.

but Kyle could have, should have, simply said to her, the SECOND time or so when she brought up the fact that she would "get even": "Honey, I believe in total honesty: Anne did it to me, thinking it's her husband Paul; Paul, an understanding man, forgave her. For her and for me, it's more an embarrassment than any thing.

"I will NOT stop you, I can NOT stop you ---- if you MUST do things. There's no sneaking around needed, I'll just let you know. If you feel my and Anne's sincere apologies were not sufficient, then you must do as you please. But so you know, I will NOT be here to "forgive" you, much less take you back. I won't tail you in any way, either, as you're not my prisoner; nor am I yours.

"But, again, if you carry out this obsession of yours, this vengence, it will bound to be found out EVENTUALLY, whether immediately or some time later. I am telling you that if you, carry out this carry idea of yours, you, not me, have immediately put a timer on our marriage: Once I find out, I don't know how or when, once I find out (whether from your own confession, which is unlikely or from a third party, which is likely), our marriage ends immediately, whether it is the next day or 10 years from the time you started fucking as a twisted revenge. Saying you only had "oral sex", like I did, won't save you, either,,,

that might have been a BETTER way to communicate to that crazy wife about CERTITUDE and FINALITY; but "saving" her time and time again by merely disrupting her rendevouz, as it is told in the story, did not work because it could not have worked.

why does everyone they just HAVE to fucking re-write a story? The offering was great just the way it was. The commentor who said "if you can't forgive, you can't be forgiven" hit the nail on the head. I would like to see more comments on what we, the readers, get from a story and contrast that with what the writer was trying to say. For me, this was all about forgiving. The comments from K.K. (whose stories I like , BTW) while, yeah, right Kyle maybe should have just kept his mouth shut, I emphasize MAYBE, if he had, there would have been no story! lol! Quit re-wrting the plotline when the plotline works! You have more than enough ouut there which don't! :-)

What I think the writer was putting out there was about a guy who made a mistake, came clean and owned up to it, sought forgiveness, and was rejected. The wife was intent on revenge. SHe goes out and does TONS worse than he did and gets cught. What was the guy supposed to do? Give her a medal? Revenge quite nearly always hurts the person seeking it as much or more that the person to whom it is directed. Revenge often backfires. It did in this case in spades! I loved it. I think Longhorn wrote an excellent piece and should be commended for it.

Obsession is one of the strongest of human emotinos and gets little plays on this site. You did a truly great job of showing what happens when someone gets "obsessed" with something. Judgement and reason go right out the window!

A number of people have suggested that he not tell her... on the other hand 'bout everyone agrees that everything comes out eventually.

He had a need to tell and he did! She had a need to react and she did!

In any case, a very nice, complex story. You certainly have the two things I like in a story, tension and emotion!

I am not by nature a vengeful person and I always hope that something can be worked out, However, I do not find fault with the husband in this story. I just want to say that the way the mother raised her was not feminist but selfish and the result is oh so sad. She got so caught up in the effort to get even she did not realize that she was losing big time even before the end. She could have had a wonderful relationship with her husband and children. Had she just forgiven him, she would have put him in debt to her. I like to think of it as she broke a $100 dollar piggy bank and found out that it was empty. Whatever she had in the fleeting moment, in the end there was nothing.

It was an obessesion and very very destructive, but you do not always have to shoot the horse with the broken leg. Even th3e most serious of wounds can heal with the reight treatment.

By the way this is a great story, tragic, but still very very good. I will write an epilogue like someone said just because I want to know what happened to Peggy. She learned a hard lesson the hard way. Whether or not Kyle could or should take her back is not the point. There are no winners in this only losers. I want some sort of redemption all around. Does she get it that it was her selfishiness that caused this? That she was not standing up for herself but taking away from others. Does she learn to let it go?

Her mother certainly has not learned this but then again she still has her man. Think about that.

Vicky would be my ex-girlfriend. Replace the name "Peggy" with "Vicky" and you've got the same personality and body. I let Vicky's behaviour give me excuses for acting irresponsibly and for treating the feelings of other women with disdain. What I learned from the hurt Vicky gave me was to go out and hurt others. From the hurt I inflicted on others I learned that there is no justifiable reason to mistreat others regardless of one's own unhappy experiences -- real or imagined. After going through "Kyle's" experience with "Peggy," I acted as though I had license to mistreat the next several women that I met with callous disregard for their feelings, and trust, and confidence(not physically but emotionally.) I "paid back Vicky" by making others suffer and that wasn't right. I'd like to live a better life now. I'd like to be a better man now. I am living and being that way, but remaking one's bed so that it is something a person wouldn't mind lying in is a chore of undeterminable effort, so I continue. I almost gave up around page three but stuck it out, I still think it could have been shorter and you really didn't have to go into so much detail about there sex life, I also have to agree with three of the other people who left comments, first I think he was to giving in allowing the estate to be split down the middle, if it were me she would have been lucky to get away with ten percent, second even though this story is fictional there are still mothers out there who are as strong womens libers as Peggys mother was and have way to much influence in the daughters married lives I've seen it first hand, and really hope these women get a rude awakining sooner rather than later (We should never have given them the vote just kidding (MAYBE) And thirdly I have to agree with one of the anonymous comments left by somebody regarding Ann's husband I think he let it go a little to easy, not so much from the fact of not believing them, but it's just something I can't see a husband getting over that quickly. At end when she told her mother to shut up.... she never said.... or exprssed the idea what she had done was way out of balance... Hyle with an accidental drunken blow job for 20-30 seconds which he openly admitted to vs 5 or 6 days of open fucking.

Superbly written, paced, and told. This story is absolutely without a doubt one of the very best cheating wife stories on Literotica. The characters are realistic, believable and act in ways consistent with the development of their characters. If it were possible to rate a story higher than one hundred, I'd do it because this story deserves it. Thank you, Longhorn__07, for a story very well-told.

It's difficult to believe that an intelligent woman (Peggy) would obsess about an accidental sexual encounter like this. It would be the same as blaming Kyle for walking into the bathroom and accidentally seeing Ann naked on the toilet, or in the shower, or something, and Peggy assuming something was happening between "those two." Kyle, so moral and 'holier than thou' was wrong to get so falling down drunk that something like a short, anonymous blowjob could happen at a party in the first place. He furthermore should have known that his wife was so anal and so rigid (liberated) that she never would have done something like this at a party when someone could discover them, especially since she was not fellating him at home these recent years. Suspending disbelief over this, and accepting that a woman could try to equate her husband's accidental, unintentional 'cheat' with her deliberate and purposeful 'Full Montie' fuck on a business trip, the rest of the story flows logically and it is very well written. One other item: I do think that Peggy would seek counsel with a divorce attorney, and said attorney would immediately see the blackmail for what it was and take steps to reverse the total power advantage for Kyle. I doubt Kyle would have everything his own way -- things in life rarely work out that way.

I have to agree with the majority that Longhorn__07 is a wonderful gifted writer , but I am amazed at the nearly unanimous opinion that Ann giving drunken Kyle a blowjob is a minor indescretion, hardly worth talking about. I can't imagine my wife thinking that way. Given that Peggy is a sociopath that he should have divorced years ago,the question remains--why did he tell her about it and then spend a fortune on PIs to check on her trips for revenge fucks. Sorry, in my opinion this plot is not up to normal high Longhorn standards.

Given all this WHY tell Peggy about the NJ incident? Kyle's argument that it is worse if we dont tell her and Peggy finds out later is absurd given How this author develop Peggy in chapter 1 and 2

A good story but the wife must have had some kind of autistic disorder to behave this way. He should have forced her to see a psychiatrist and get a diagnosis. well Peggy seemed like a fruit case anywhoo. There seemed to be something inherently wrong with the marriage in the first place. I guess for most guys drunken, anonymous blowjobs, when married, don't mean shit and should be swept under the rug as an "oops, my bad". Please, if it had started out with the wife doing something like that all of you men would have been screaming foul with her head served up on the platter from the get go. My ex used the premise of being drunk as an excuse for reprehensible behavior finally culminating in all out fucking other women. It doesn't take much to stumble off the path of what's right from wrong when you think you can continually get away with it because you were somehow "impaired".

I've also read and re-read this one many times and loved it. I want to urge Longhorn to write a sequel to this story, There is room for at least an epilogue and I for one would love to know the eventual fates of those involved.

Great! I don't know why everyone is so ticked off about the partial blow job. You had to have something in the story beginning, just to kick off the irrational wife's rage and revenge... It could have been anything of course as she was looking for something to hold over him in her war to dominate him... The drift of the story to me was that you were mocking femminist women and their war with the male dominated society. You did well! Good story, and it doesn't need a sequel. You beat at least two femminists with this one particular battle of fiction... Good job!

She got her revenge all right. Nothing like a happily ever after story - happy for the husband, he is finally out from under all her harping, nagging, lying ways. Yep, happy ending for the husband, he'll get over her pretty quickly once he doesn't have to live with her. Great story!

He started it, she just finished it. It may have started as a mistake but some spouses get passed it. That's just how life is.

Amazing story. I find myself agreeing with the second commenter. After this, she would probably make for a very affectionate, loyal and loving wife/mother, but it's all too late. Really do have to feel bad for the husband. He was willing to go to such lengths and sacrifice so much of himself to keep his family together and, in the end, he still couldn't prevent it from breaking apart. Was glad to see that he used his failing relationship with his wife to better his relationship with his children.

In this story you worked too hard on adjectives; using too many unnecessary modifiers. That made the writing stilted for me. "Bulbous head of his cock," comes to mind. Seems most LW authors love that term. Be one of the first to retire its use.

I will never understand where the motivation comes from to use the term "his wife", "my wife" to describe his spouse, and vice versa for the woman. It was grossly overused here. When the person's name isn't used the action is way too impersonal and stuffy. It diminishes the emotional connection between people.

None of the characters were doofuses, as in many LW stories. The faulty reasoning especially was worthwhile. The wife's transition into a slut on the way back from the airport was a surprise, but not entirely unexpected. Ending was effective.

I read Norcal's comment with interest someone who read and enjoyed but also paid attention to the craftsmanship - what ought to happen.

I do not agree with all he said the his wife etc I actually like when it is used carefully and I have no issue with its use in this story - it allows for distance or increased de-personalization by the speaker and is good sometimes.

The story was well designed and executed - I was not surprised she pushed it too far and met her mother's expectations - but it is still a shame she had to destroy here life before she even began to get a clue.

At first, I thought he was a jerk, just an idiot and then I realized, he really loved her. That was more than just a sad eighteen months of worry and hope.

She decided she liked sex on the side, well - she didn't really have anything to get even about, just her obsessive nature to right a wrong (imagined wrong). She discovered that she was more into and like the idea of forbidden sex a lot and now, hell - she is going to make a steady thing out of it.

In the end, she still blames Mother.

I'm guessing her new job and random sex will be quite awhile before she suddenly wakes up with the fact and realization that she had a mental fixation of control that denied her ability to really enjoy love...she had that, screwed it up and she knew, she would forever regret that. Too bad and that is if she hadn't developed AIDs from Herold.

Hard to really comment on a 6-year old story, but in re-reading this, I was stumped at the total lack of transition or explanation of what was going on.

This is a great story!. I have read it several times and the raw emotions, Kyle's desperation and Peggy's unrelenting rage, are palpable.

I agree there is a level of insanity to Peggy. She has an irrational rage over anything she feels is a slight to her. Her rage consumes her and directs her. Obsession is only part of it. You can be obsessed to eat, or have sex, to seek praise, etc. Peggy is ANGRY. Her anger possesses her. She is willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING to appease it. When she finally does, she revels in it. The intensity and complete control by this anger is a mental illness. Her mother shares similar beliefs but KNOWS when she has crossed the line. She's a nitwit and says a lot of stupid things without thinking but is able to recognize limits. Peggy cannot.

As to Kyle, he loves his wife. Throughout the story, Peggy hasn't really done anything. Yes, she's an unreasonable bitch but they have a long history together, much of it loving. Yes, she has a temper but it's been a problem that could be dealt with in the past, not the insane and insurmountable fortress it has become. Kyle keeps looking for a way to overcome it. For a year or so, that's entirely reasonable. Yes, she planned to be unfaithful. Yes, she lied. Yes, she has had bouts of fury. Is that enough to break up a marriage? Well, some people are just like that. Kyle KNOWS she can be unreasonably angry. He has decided to stay with her anyway. I can understand his continued efforts to repair the marriage, even though it's not his fault it's in trouble. Sometimes one partner needs to be the "bigger person" to break an impasse. The only thing about Kyle that bothers me is when he says "I'll live without sex. I'll get along without the loving. You don't have to even be nice to me...just don't break up the family...". In saying this Kyle buys into her insanity by accepting severe punishment when he did nothing wrong. Such conditions would yield NO marriage and NO family, just a bunch of bitter people living in a house together. One of the great things about Kyle is that even when he is trying to appease Peggy he blocks her more egregious actions. She is about to physically attack him and he makes it clear he will NOT tolerate it. This capitulation just before she leaves was a collapse of Kyle's character. It's fortunate Peggy was so committed to her revenge that she turned him down. He is far better off without her.

I have no idea where to begin, the nutcase wife has serious issues which are results of being raised & taught by her complete man hateing bitch of a mother. I'm actually shocked that this marriage lasted this long, the wife's obsession with getting even regardless of the consequences speaks of her character & her bitch of a mother was adding fuel to the fire to the point where I started feeling like the mother has used this "getting even" tactic with her own husband. The wife was a lost cause, she refused to let it go, she obviously underestimated her husband, when you've been with someone for so long; you tend to know your spouse inside and out, the fact that she actually thought she was fooling her husband into believing that she has finally given up her need to "get even" after the many months of arguments & hostile home environment --says that she took her husband for a moron, hell I knew she didn't give up. Individuals such as this will Never let things go, they hold on to it, thinking rationally isn't even an option, they're impulsive and will never feel better until their revenge has been succeeded. The husband, I feel sorry for him & the children-- but I feel if he hadn't allowed this blatant behavior to continue throughout their marriage. Her constant bitching ,violent/ temper tantrum, competitiveness just plain disrespect isn't something that just begun. She has a temper, she will do dumb shit without thinking or caring of the consequences until it literally slaps her in her face. The bitch is psychotic! It's refreshing to see this from a completely different perspective, that of the other man, and his little slut whore. However, it's baffling that you completely let them off the hook and punish the wife instead, making her submit to her husband's infidelity without condition. Ann shoves Kyle's dick in her mouth and he lets her, on the excuse of darkness, and they get a little last minute regrets and quit, so it's okay? He spends two weeks lying to his wife about it, and equates the lying she's done earlier in the marriage with his lying AND his infidelity? Instead of accepting his guilt, he insists that SHE find a way to cope with it, get counseling, separate from her husband, and all that?

Any woman who did that to her man would rightly be called out as a cuckolding whore.

Yet Ann flounces off to no doubt let some other man "accidentally" fuck her with her idiot cuckold of a husband, while Kyle strips his wife of any rights to her own children, blaming her for the damage that he created with his infidelity.

If Peggy weren't just a stupid cheating bitch as well, she'd have taken her kids and divorced the piece of shit. Sometimes I wonder if the commentors read the same story I did. The second Ann and Kyle realized they weren't with their respective partners, they ceased their activity, in fact they violently withdrew from it. That's not cheating.

As far as Ann's husband being a cuckold, I think he's more of a wittol. In modern usage it is a guy who allows his wife to fuck arund, but not from a submissive or humiliated position.

This is a great story. But if you ain't been there, done that,' or bought the T shirt with your baby girls picture on the front. And then lived with the bitch from hell for years! Your not going to figure it out.

I've given it a couple of reads. Excellent writing, of course. I recall completely sympathizing with Kyle the first time reading it. However, the with the second read, I got Peggy a bit more, and, even though she's a crazy bitch, I actually sympathized with her a lot more. Kyle seemed very noble in my first read, but he seems kind of obsessive himself (protect that pussy!). Shit, he should have just told his wife to let some dude eat her out for five minutes and they would be even.

The marriage became a farce after a month of being angry at each other. Her rage and obsession with 'getting even,' versus his obsession with foiling her plans and painting himself as the martyr (I hate people who choose to be 'noble victims').

After 18 months of this sham of a marriage, when she finally executes the revenge sex, no wonder she enjoys it so much-it is sweet victory over the controlling asshole of a husband (as she sees it). And, it just shows how much he loves her, to blackmail her and deprive her of her kids.

I never got a strong sense that the characters ever really loved each other, and that made the story more of a suspense thriller than a moving drama.

Still, it was a good ride, just not this author's best work. 5 stars regardless.

A great well written story about the shift of a marriage from an alliance to a battlefront. There is no doubt in the outcome, just a matter of time. Like the title says, it's not about sex, rather obsession.

The best part was the comment "the hot affair that began with a fart." I can see Kyle divorcing her on his terms, but I can't see her losing her livlihood. The concept of feminism is turned into a complete caricature by this author.

The story depends on Kyle and Ann confessing about the very brief encounter. Ridiculous! For an act that wasn't completed and accidental, no reason to confess.

The story was entertaining, had good sex scenes, and was well written, so I gave it a 5. However, I would be remiss if I didn't say that there is NO ONE in this world as stupid as Peggy was portrayed in this story, making the entire story unbelievable. Believability is not necessary for entertainment, though, is it?

I agree with most of the comments about him not telling this bitch he was married to about the slip with Ann, he knew how his wife would react but he had not idea she would be so obsessed with "getting even". He did all he could to prevent it and actually was much more patient than I would have been. The Chicago incident with the condoms and the fancy night wear would have finished it for me and I would only have tolerated her that long for the sake of the kids. Feminism is a good thing as long as it is not carried to extremes as too many women do. Radical feminism is an invention of the devil. I am the old fashioned type that likes to treat women with respect, open doors for them, etc.
