Great series. A lot of the writers on this site, including you, have become very good story-tellers. I'm sure there are thousands who go to this site just to read about the sex, but a decent story line is why I keep coming back and checking out new authors. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Eugene also features in another post-apocalyptic story that i quite like - The Postman by David Brin. This Eugene is quite a bit darker.

As an aside (read only if it's any use to you), I have a few notes as someone who grew up in and still regularly visits Eugene:

• In the PNW, Interstate 5 (like other freeways) is called "I-5" not "the I-5," which is peculiar to the southern California dialect.

• For whatever reason (maybe because the city is so poor?), it's unusual to take school trips to Salem. Visiting for a conference or amateur sporting event is more likely (even those are often in other cities).

• Eugene-Springfield has a combined population of more than a quarter million. The cities are generally regarded as a single agglomeration (the University of Oregon has occasionally housed students in Springfield) and have integrated their fire services.

• The only hospital in Eugene, Sacred Heart University District, wouldn't be on a reasonable path between Goodpasture Loop and the fairgrounds/Rink Exchange. It also only offers specialty services and a small ER (and almost no windows below the third story). The city's main hospitals, Sacred Heart Riverbend and Mckenzie-Willamette, are actually in Springfield. A Springfield address that took the characters past M-W would make more sense.

• Almost none of the city's life revolves around downtown. Despite the concentration of banks there, a bank run (if it were possible) would probably happen somewhere closer to where people live.

• Lastly, Eugene is actually a "chill town," as a former UO athlete put it. There are a lot of activists, but they're mostly gentle—often frustrating—people who are more likely to write tedious poems about butterflies than smash windows. There aren't really enough ne'er-do-wells around to burn much down.

great build up with many open threads ( valkary falls, Mariam, Laura, Katrina, Mary, ex lover,...) but seems no progress on building a harem out of them. Seems like you targeting a different arc then the original ( where females are f**ked first script followed). Hope to include all of the above in the black family with and alternate dynamics in the family then Andy ( original Quaranteam) 5*/5* keep going

My favourite series in the Quaranteam world. Even stopped rereading the original to come and read this one. Like 11 stars not 5.

You really opened up the varied parts of the world in these little enclaves while going from happiness to horrific heartbreak in just a few sentences. I have to figure you did some studying of some of the nastier diseases and made a sort of amalgamation of a few together to get the worst built into one. You are a hell of a writer but the way you can draw out emotions from the reader (at least this reader) is honestly a writing skill that you obviously excel at. Your descriptiveness manages to bring a scene to life (or death) to the point of almost being able to smell the rotting flesh while picturing what the characters would be witnessing. My only question at the moment is since Harrison was in the service and is a police officer, you would think that he would have all kinds of snacks somewhere in the truck. Protein bars, dehydrated fruit and nuts like a trail mix, some form of meat jerky. He could get one of those small fridges with a freezer and carry Gatorade, energy and protein drinks and bars etc. I would think since he knows how much he eats now and the state of his surroundings, it would have been one of his first tasks along with the fact that you could come across people who have nothing and haven’t eaten in days plus the children they might have with them. You wanna survive then start putting more thought into it or did he orgasm so hard that he might have brain damage. 😃

@anon below about following a different arc instead of just sex. Yeah, the author grew to start caring about the characters as people, instead of a non stop mind control sex orgy. I think I can admit that the sex with a harem gets to be a little bit tedious after a while. We know all the women are fixated on their man via the vaccine, after a while it's not the same kind of fun. A new woman could make it more fun, but they have to organize and negotiate with the others - not necessarily that fun.

After reading some of the original Quarenteam stories, I have a sneaking suspicion that a certain lady might be able to get pregnant after all......but only time will tell if that's true or not. Great reading so far!

I dont want to jinx it but hopefully Vanessa is going through the miracle bidy repair process that 'sometimes' happens after imprinting

Wow, powerful chapter. You're the first of the writers who's taken the time to show the awful parts of this world in depth - not just the one-on-one awfulness that a single man can do (which is bad) but the general destruction and devastation plaguing (no pun intended) the world. Very well done.

October and we see the slow down on Literotica. Two NW stories each in July and August. Only one in September. Hope we won't get to one a quarter, or 2 a year. Stay safe.
