I know of a Silver Lake (in New Hampshire) and can imagine these things happening there ... could have wished it was me, though. Anyway, you've left the opening for more, and therefore, the request is made!

In what century was this written? Although it is listed in some dictionaries as an alternate spelling, I haven't seen "email" spelled "E-Mail" since 1995 or so!

Other than that teeny-tiny nitpick, I thoroughly enjoyed the tale. Thanks for sharing it with us!.
